TGA flips for Des Moines at 80/35

8035_7

We spent the past weekend at the 80/35 music festival in Des Moines. For those of you who have not heard of 80/35, this year marked the second year that the festival has taken place in the Western Gateway of Greater Des Moines. 80/35 is organized by the volunteers of the non-profit Greater Des Moines Music Coalition. It’s more than just a music festival – it’s a celebration of all things cool happening in Des Moines.

We were honored to be a part of the YPC Do More Village and Dahls Kids Zone at the festival. The YPC Do More Village was an area designated for non-profits and organizations that encourage young professionals to “do more” in Des Moines. We had a booth in the village, where we gave away something every music festival has its fair share of – tattoos (don’t worry, they were temporary). Our coaches also showed their stuff by doing tumbling demonstrations in front of the booth throughout the day. We also did a tumbling demonstration in the Dahls Kids Zone, a free, interactive area designated for families that included children’s performers and an inflatable play area. A big thanks to our gymnasts and parents who came out for the demonstration!

Here are some photos from our adventures at this year’s 80/35 music festival:
