Fall classes start on August 30

The Iowa State Fair is over and school is back in session… it must be fall! Fall classes at TGA start next Monday, August 30. We’re excited to announce that you can now register for classes online! To ensure that your gymnast gets the most out of his/her experience, classes sizes will be limited to 7 gymnasts per instructor, so reserve your spot today.

Non Stop Fun at the Iowa State Fair

Team Gymnastics Academy walked/tumbled in the Iowa State Fair Parade on Wednesday, August 11.

TGA is also excited to participate in the Iowa State Fair Tumbling Competition this Saturday, August 21 at the Youth Inn building from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This Saturday is Wellmark Day at the Iowa State Fair. Be sure to check out the Wellmark Village located on the main concourse across from the Grandstand. The Wellmark Village will feature a variety of Interactive demos including Tai Chi, Laughter Yoga, Zumba, Cha Cha Slide (a TGA favorite!), Tai Kwon Do, Family Foursquare, and Hula Hooping (also a TGA favorite). Register for fall classes online

TGA competes in AmeriKids National Gymnastics Championship

On June 5 & 6, TGA competed in the 2010 AmeriKids National Gymnastics Championship at Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Congratulations to all of the girls who competed! Everyone did a great job, and the competition was a fun way to end the season. Click here to see the results.

Congratulations to Kayla Bates and Lizzie VanDyk for taking first place All Around, at the Vaulting Valentine’s Meet hosted by Oskaloosa YMCA Aerials. Kayla had a clean sweep taking First Place on Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam, Floor and All Around for level 5 age 14. Lizzie took first on Uneven Bars, Beam and All Around and a 2nd on Floor Age 12 Level 5.

Grace Twelmeyer had a clean sweep taking 3rd place on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and All Around for level 4 Age 7.

Stephanie Little placed 3rd All Around level 3 age 11 with a 3rd Place on Vault, 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Floor.

Amber McPherson won 3rd Place All Around level 3 age 7 with a 3rd on Uneven Bars, 1st on Beam and 2nd on Floor.

Jordanne Hensley took 3rd All Around age 8, with a 2nd Place on Vault.

Tum-Bowl IV

TGA will kick off the Amerikids competition season with the fourth annual Tum-Bowl Gymnastics Meet to be head at Team Gymnastics Academy on Saturday, January 16th, 2010. We are excited to kick off the season and hope everyone has fun! Click here to view a full Tum-Bowl IV meet schedule.

$3 Adult
$2 Children over the age of 5

Parking:
We will have parking in our lot, in the field to the south (weather permitting) and after 5 PM, anywhere in the business area. Please be respectful of the business around us. They help us out a lot.

On October 31st our competition team girls participated in the Witches Brew, a Level 4-6 USAG Sanctioned Gymnastics Competition presented by the Oskaloosa YMCA Aerials. The girls had a lot of fun at the meet and did a great job. Here are their meet results broken out by level/age group:

Bring a Friend Day at TGA

Got a best friend? Invite them to class with you the week of November 2 – 7. All they need to do is download the “Bring a friend” form to be filled out by their parents.
