We’re excited to announce that you can now register for classes online! Fall classes begin on Monday, August 30, 2010. To ensure that your gymnast gets the most out of his/her experience, classes sizes will be limited to 7 gymnasts per instructor, so reserve your spot today.

TGA is sports & activity friendly – we offer a variety of class days/times to fit your busy schedules.

TGA competes in Vaulting Valentine’s Meet

Lizzie, Savannah, Kayla, Morgan and Marissa (Level 5’s)

Congratulations to Kayla Bates and Lizzie VanDyk for taking first place All Around, at the Vaulting Valentine’s Meet hosted by Oskaloosa YMCA Aerials. Kayla had a clean sweep taking First Place on Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam, Floor and All Around for level 5 age 14. Lizzie took first on Uneven Bars, Beam and All Around and a 2^nd on Floor Age 12 Level 5.

Morgan Rosenberger took 3^rd Place All Around with 3^rd on Bars and a first on Floor level 5 Age 12

Grace Twelmeyer had a clean sweep taking 3^rd place on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and All Around for level 4 Age 7.

Stephanie Little placed 3^rd All Around level 3 age 11 with a 3^rd Place on Vault, 2^nd on Beam and 3^rd on Floor.

Amber McPherson won 3^rd Place All Around level 3 age 7 with a 3^rd on Uneven Bars, 1^st on Beam and 2^nd on Floor.

Jordanne Hensley took 3^rd All Around age 8, with a 2^nd Place on Vault.

Rebecca Moews 1^st Place Vault Novice Option for age 12 and under

Team Trophies were awarded. Level 3 took 4^th place and Level 5 took 1^st Place.

Gymnastics Photos

Gymnastics photos make a great holiday gift for family members! We will be taking photos at various times during the week of November 12th, 2009. A schedule is posted at the gym. We’ll be doing a group shot of each class and individual pictures for those who want to purchase them. Everyone will be participating in the group picture. Gymnasts will want to look especially nice for them. Make sure your gymnast’s hair is pulled back nice and neat. Order forms will be available at the gym on photo day.

Community Days Fundraiser

We are coming to the end of our Younkers Community Day Fundraiser. We want to thank those of you who helped us by purchasing a Younkers Community Day booklet. If you are interested in purchasing more, we have some coupon booklets left. Please see Robin for details. The Coupon booklets are $5 each. Inside each coupon booklet is a $10 Coupon that can be used on anything in the store that costs $10 or more.

The gym will be closed November 28 – 29th for Thanksgiving. Please try to attend one of the make-up classes listed below:

1 hour class:

2 hour class:

Witches Brew competition results

On October 31st our competition team girls participated in the Witches Brew, a Level 4-6 USAG Sanctioned Gymnastics Competition presented by the Oskaloosa YMCA Aerials. The girls had a lot of fun at the meet and did a great job. Here are their meet results broken out by level/age group:

Bring a Friend Day at TGA

Got a best friend? Invite them to class with you the week of November 2 – 7. All they need to do is download the “Bring a friend” form to be filled out by their parents. New daytime classes starting this fall

We are excited to announce that we’ll be offering new daytime classes beginning this fall. Daytime classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday, September 1st. We will be offering Pre-School and Girls Basic gymnastics classes at the following times:

Pre-School (Ages 2 – 5): 9:00 – 10:00 am

Girls Basic (Ages 6 – 18): 10:00 – 11:00 am

Iowa State Fair tumbling competition

It’s State Fair time! The Iowa State Fair tumbling competition is on Saturday, August 22 at the Youth Inn. Ages 3+ can participate.
